Our infant ballet class is a great introduction to get children to move and learn their first ballet steps. Timing and waiting are encouraged along with stretching and small basic routines taught in an animated way and themed to help the children relate.
Children will learn to listen and express themselves individually. Ballet techniques and disciplines are added to class routines and by adding the lyrical style, this makes the class feel less ridged and more relaxed.

Our junior ballet class teach the basic ballet techniques, the five positions, ballet runs, and pointing of the feet. In class the children are encouraged to individually travel across the room using these techniques and helping to build their learning skills such as attention, memory and thinking. Covering these basic ballet positions also increase confidence, flexibility, posture, co-ordination and strength.
A fun, animated routine is taught to create a choreographed dance piece where the children can develop their skills and learn to listen to react to certain sounds of the music. Elements of the lyrical style is then taught to help progress towards the choreography by using arm flowing movements.
Connecting moves are introduced as the children progress and more advanced techniques are taught such as turns (pirouettes), jumps (allegro), and helping to develop fluent arm movements (port da bras).
